DIFFER Seminar: The power of generative AI: helping or hurting science? Let’s debate!

Abstract: The recent quick rise of generative AI has opened up many discussions on its use in science. In this interactive seminar we will explore this topic further. What is generative AI? When is it used? What are the benefits of generative AI? Is it useful at all? We will tackle these difficult questions together with you! In a guided debate, arguments from the audience for and against generative AI will be presented to ultimately gain more insight in how generative AI is viewed within DIFFER. This will be followed up by an overview of current efforts at DIFFER in creating an AI policy.
